Mountain Bites is an energy and healthy snack bar for athletes and adventurers. Based in Monterrey, Mexico, the brand is heavily focused on an active lifestyle with a great passion for adventure and nature.

Our branding solution combines an earth inspired color palette with a series of illustrations that highlight athletes and activities such as hiking, climbing, mountain biking and downhill. The unique style and stroke of the images seeks to provide an approachable, friendly and fun take on these activities, to create a dynamic yet relaxed feel.

A clean and “rocky” typographic logo is combined with a slanted icon to create a bold duo that further highlights the brand’s commitment to movement and energy through natural and healthy ingredients.

RESULTS

Following the project's delivery, positive results were experienced by the company within the first 6 months of the new brand's implementation. Mountain Bites’ CEO Diego Canavati explains, he was skeptical at first as he was emotionally attached to the logo he himself created for the startup. However after trusting the design process, and seeing the results, he explains he doesn't understand why he didn't do it much sooner.

“The brand, almost immediately went from being perceived as a home made startup business to a fully established brand. It literally changed the way people and other businesses treated us, dramatically boosting sales” Diego explains.

Sales went up by 190% within the first 6 months of the new brand’s launch.

IMPACT

Mountain Bites’ new brand system enabled the company to tap into a new audience by connecting with a wider segment. The company’s CEO explains the brand initially connected with mountain hikers only, yet the new brand has not only provided a greater connection with existing consumers, but also appeal to other sports professionals and enthusiasts as well as people with an active lifestyle in general. Canavati says they are now connecting with younger audiences broadening their market as a fun and healthy brand.

By highlighting different outdoor sports and active lifestyle practices through dynamic illustrations of outdoor activities, we were able to expand on Mountain Bite’s core focus, tapping into the brand's full potential to reach active lifestyle communities and anyone interested in healthy energetic snacks.

Canavati also attributes the brand’s impact in creating a continuously growing community, in great part, to the brand visuals successfully representing its product, values, purpose and lifestyle.
