Explorer is a sports bottle design created for plastic brand and manufacturer Z Plastics in El Salvador. Designed to elevate the ultra low cost plastic injected bottle offering in high volume markets, explorer introduces a fresh, balanced and rugged aesthetic to a highly accesible audience.
Its unique design pushes the boundaries of plastic injection constraints and designs, usually charcterized by an inverted conical shape and big unproportiaonal caps: due to the draft angles needed for de-molding. our solution uses design to embrace these proportions and play with design features to create a more aesthetically pleasing and balanced geometry. A belt like shape is used to visually divide(and integrate) lid and cup to create the illusion of a continuous shape.

A subtle play of rounded and chiseled surfaces create a sporty and modern look while allowing for graphics customization.
